European Cup 2015 in Checkers

1. Goals and Objectives Competition is held for the purpose for the development of Checkers in Europe. The objectives of the European Cup are: 
(a) Identification of the best European players. 
(b) Selection to the official World Competitions. 
(c) Strengthening of friendly relations between Checkers players from different countries. 

2. Competition Organisers Igor Martynov and John Reade.

Notes 
(a) Only open tournaments will get the status of a stage of the European Cup. 
(c) All countries should send the regulations of their national tournaments with the information about dates, rules, accommodation, fees and prizes to Igor Martynov at the beginning of the year (deadline is February 2015). This information will be published on the official Checkers sites.
(d) All countries should send results of their tournaments to Igor Martynov. 
(e) Depending of the number of women and youth and their participation in the tournaments Igor Martynov can establish a separate European Cup for them. 

4. Participants All sportsmen regardless of age and rating can participate in the competition at all stages of the European Cup. 

5. System of Competitions Competitions are personal. The system and time control is shown in the regulations written by the organisers of each tournament.  

6. Determination of Winners Positions in the competition at each stage are determined by the highest total points scored by the participants. 

7. Overall European Cup Standings The best 6 players in each stage of the European Cup will get points according to their positions in the various tournaments. The 3 best results obtained in different stages will be added into the overall standings of the European Cup.

8. Tiebreaking Will be done using the total ratings of the players in each tournament. 

9. Results of the European Cup, overall standings and other information will be published on the official site of the European Cup: http://home.arcor.de/checkers64/index.html 

10. Awarding The winner of European Cup will be given the title of ‘Winner of the European Cup 2015 in Checkers’. They will be awarded a trophy, a medal and a certificate. The participants who come second and third in the European Cup will be awarded medals and certificates. 

11. Financing Costs at each stage: 
(a) The costs for each national competition, prize fund, payment for the panel of judges, staff, transportation, computer support - at the expense of the organisers. 
(b) The costs of all participants (accommodation, food, transportation, visas, etc.) if it is not mentioned in the national regulations - at the expense of the participants themselves.
